Girls’ Generation give their thoughts on promoting alongside 2NE1
First, 2NE1 was asked their thoughts on promoting with Girls’ Generation, now SNSD are being asked the same question.
Girls’ Generation revealed they feel nothing but joy that they get to promote at the same time as their girl group rival 2NE1.
During a recent interview held backstage at ‘Music Bank‘ on March 7, Girls’ Generation finally gave their two cents on making their comeback alongside 2NE1, “Our promotions are overlapping for the first time in a while so it’s fun and pleasant.”
Tiffany and Seohyun shared, “During Girls’ Generation and 2NE1′s early years, girl groups were not that common… Now that we get to promote together, we feel proud and good to show girl power in the K-pop scene.”
Seohyun added, “2NE1′s color is totally different from ours… It is fun to watch 2NE1′s stage. We also plan to definitely watch 2NE1′s stage… Rather than competing with other girl groups, we will naturally show our sunbae image… Although there is a sense of responsibility and pressure, I think that we can grow because of that.”
Seohyun also talked about how relieved she felt to finally make a comeback with “Mr.Mr“. ”It feels like our thirst has finally been quenched.” Tiffany also thought her group’s MV data loss was a gift in disguise, sharing, “As our comeback schedule got delayed, we thought it was an opportunity to show a perfect stage… Although we always do to prepare for our comebacks, this time we also listened to our song over 50 times a day and practiced hard. I think there is a time for everything including our comeback… Each stage will be worth looking forward to.”
Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany has revealed her feeling about promoting at the same time with 2NE1, as the competition among these two popular girl group who just made comebacks have been a hot issue lately.
“It will be interesting since it’s been a long time since we promote together. I feel great to think that we will show the Korean girl power,” said Tiffany.
“Rather than competition, I want to show them out good image as senior. I feel a bit responsibility and pressure about it,” she answered.
